Ice cream at Revolving

It was PeiSun's birthday on 21st April, instead of bringing her for the usual lunch or dinner, we brought her to Berkeley Farm ice cream buffet. I am sure it's your 1st time hearing it.

We only had five flavours to choose from - banana strawberry nut, California raisin, mocha almond fudge, tropicana cocktail & caramel toffee crunch. Nice place to hang with a panoramic view of Georgetown's night scene but the ice cream is nothing to shout about! I certainly prefer Baskin.

Definitely not going back there for ice cream but the 'Sunset buffet dinner' looks tempting especially the desserts.

Good old place!

Grilled almond fish and chicken chop. Nine of us were brought to Little Cottage for lunch by Agnes on 12th May in conjunction with two of our colleague's birthday and it's also to celebrate the occasion of her being promoted to Director starting May 1st. We had a nice time chit-chatting!

No haagen at Matsuki???

Free HaagenDazs icecream worth RM7.50 with every set lunch priced from RM12++ & above! This was advertised in The Star's 'Penang Island Restaurant Listing'. I decided to give it a try on friday-16th May.

Half way through our meal, I saw a waitress distributing Nestle drumsticks to the table next to ours. "Isn't it suppose to be HaagenDazs?", we asked. She told us HaagenDazs icecream is the same as Nestle drumsticks. The reason given was,"the icecream melted as we have problem with our freezer". I think if she were to apologize to us, we would have a better perception towards the restaurant as the food was not bad that day.

But I am not too sure if this was their strategy to cut cost in times of difficulty as prices of food has gone up! And therefore they have to come up with different reasons every day!

Lessons learned, always ask the person on the counter before you order or else.... Nestle is equivalent to HaagenDazs!!

I belong to God!

How nice if I am one of those Japanese carp swimming in the pond, the only disadvantage is they have to fight for food, for those little bits of bread we threw into the pond!

It made me think of the people in this world who fight to get money, power, 'face' and all kind of things which they claim belong to them!

Just remember, isn't everything in this world including ourselves belongs to God!!!!! Praise the lord!

lunch date @ a cottage!

Haha it is referring to the sausages that I had for lunch, the first time I came here and ordered grilled chicken sausages, it was delicious!

But it was not so nice anymore, the sausage was not tender and too soft!

The strange thing is from two decent sausages, they increase it to three little ones a couple of months ago and now to four which are even smaller recently! Maybe they need to cut cost when the economy is not doing well!

Another thing I noticed there were layers of dust on the decor hung on the wall just beside where I was seated! I felt not very comfortable & suddenly cleanliness became the topic that we were discussing!

Although there were many people during lunch hour, a friend of mine said she will never visit this place again!

Anyway it does not matter as I have been here not less than eight times!!!!

cuitie xiao loong pao

Can't remember when I started to like 'xiao loong pao' or dragon dumpling! I was told I need to carefully place it on a spoon before putting it into my mouth to ensure that I can taste the juicy fillings! It is known to be originated from Shanghai! This is my 3rd visit to the restaurant at Qb Mall, famous for its 'la mien' & dragon dumpling!

At the entrance you will be greeted by a few smiling chefs flown in from China busy preparing 'guitar strings' like noodles aka 'la mien'!

Don't really know why but we were seated at the same place each time we went there - a small table for 4 next to the Teracotta Warrior statue!

I also like the chilly sauce, fried durian, vege-mush-dumpling, chicken- steamed-rice-in-bucket, mango pudding and fried 'la mien'!

What caught my attention was the waiters & waitresses here wear earphones & they service you with a smile, maybe that is why we need to pay more!! & yet we are making our trip there again & again!

Really hope we will have more choices in Penang when it comes to 'xiao loong pau' & 'la mien'!

our own wild wild west

Pg's newly elected CM had proposed to have a zoo in this little island! This has brought much excitement to my nieces & nephews, they said,"we will get to see tigers, lions, elephants, crocs, giraffes right in front of our eyes soon!

I was told by the 'zoo guide', but don't really know if it is true, the wild animals in the Singapore Zoo are kept in their natural habitat surrounded by the natural flora & fauna which are similar to the ones found in the jungle. This is to make sure the animals feel as though they are at 'home'. This turned out to be quite true as I don't see any fence around separating the animals!

I hope the new zoo that we are going to have if we were to have one is a zoo that is equivalent if not better that the Singapore Zoo!
